Cookies we set ourselves
None directly — but see Google Analytics below, which we use and which sets its own cookies.
Cookies set by services we use
- Cloudflare, which provides security and performance for this site, may set a cookie to distinguish real visitors from automated traffic
- Stripe, which handles payment on the checkout step, sets cookies of its own as part of verifying that payments are genuine and preventing fraud
- Google Analytics, which we use to understand how visitors use this site (which pages are viewed, roughly how people find us). Unlike Cloudflare and Stripe, this one is optional — it won't set a tracking cookie (such as
_ga) or send any data about you unless you accept it in the cookie banner.
Cloudflare and Stripe exist purely to keep the site secure and payments safe, not for advertising or tracking you across other websites. Google Analytics is the one exception — it's genuinely an analytics/tracking tool, which is why it's off by default and requires your consent.
Your choices
The first time you visit, a banner asks whether to accept Google Analytics — declining (or just not answering) means no tracking cookie is ever set and no data about your visit is ever sent to Google. You can at any time, which brings the banner back.
Cloudflare and Stripe's cookies aren't covered by that choice, since they're required for the site to function securely — if you block cookies entirely in your browser, the payment step may not work correctly.
